Pearl Jam - A Touring Powerhouse

2023 Pearl Jam Concerts


The tour kicked off on August 2023 in St. Paul, Minnesota, with two performances at the Xcel Energy Center, promising a double dose of the band's classic grunge sound.


The band then headed to the United Center in Chicago for two shows, offering fans in the Windy City a unique opportunity to witness their favorite rockers live.


From there, Pearl Jam was going to deliver their signature rock sounds to the outdoor Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana. Noblesville is a city 27 miles outside Indianapolis. A performance under the stars combined with Pearl Jam's raw energy would have surely make this concert memorable. Unfortunately, this Pearl Jam concert was canceled "due to illness".


The band then hit the road south to Texas, with two concerts at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Known for their dynamic performances, the Texas crowd received an immersive experience that had them on their feet and singing along to their favorite hits​.


The tour culminated with two shows at the Moody Center ATX in Austin. An apt closing to their touring schedule, the Austin audience will get to witness the timeless appeal and relentless energy of Pearl Jam in full swing​.


1. Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, Minnesota: August 31 & September 2, 2023




The Xcel Energy Center is a multi-purpose arena located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Known for its state-of-the-art acoustics and spacious seating, it's an ideal location for concerts.


The venue has a capacity of approximately 20,000 for concerts, offering both seating and standing options, ensuring every fan gets a great view of the stage.

2. United Center, Chicago, Illinois: September 5 & 7, 2023


The United Center, home to the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks, also doubles as a premier concert venue. With a capacity of around 23,500 for concerts, it boasts an expansive arena and excellent acoustics.


The United Center has played host to some of the biggest names in the music industry, making it a fitting venue for a band of Pearl Jam's stature.

3. Ruoff Music Center, Noblesville, Indiana: September 10, 2023


The Ruoff Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater located in Noblesville, Indiana. With a seating capacity of approximately 24,000, it offers an intimate concert experience under the stars.


Its unique outdoor setting allows for an immersive experience where fans can enjoy their favorite music amidst nature.


As mentioned above, Pearl Jam postponed the show due to an unspecified illness.  Rock Intersection learned that Matt Cameron got COVID and Eddie Vedder was battling the flu. 


4. Dickies Arena, Fort Worth, Texas: September 13 & 15, 2023


Dickies Arena is a multi-purpose arena located in Fort Worth, Texas. This modern facility can accommodate up to 14,000 concert-goers and is known for its comfortable seating and top-notch sound system.


Its state-of-the-art design ensures a fantastic concert experience for all attendees.


While Eddie Vedder returned, Josh Klinghoffer covered for Matt Cameron at the first show in Fort Worth, which at 155 minutes and 27 songs was the longest of the band's fall US tour thus far.






5. Moody Center ATX, Austin, Texas: September 18 & 19, 2023


The Moody Center ATX in Austin, Texas, is a world-class entertainment and sports arena. With a capacity of up to 15,000 for concerts, it provides an intimate atmosphere, perfect for experiencing the raw energy of a Pearl Jam performance.


Update: On the last show, Eddie Vedder said to the crowd: “We've made a new record for next year”. The album is produced by Andrew Watt, the most hardcore Pearl Jam fan you'll ever meet, according to Stone Gossard. Allegedly, Watt can play all of Pearl Jam's songs, and all of Soundgarden’s songs back at them. He is a Ten Club member like yours truly.
